YLILAUTA Becomes Finland's Largest Adult Content Site - Million-Dollar PORN Business

A once-popular Finnish imageboard has now become one of Finland's largest pornographic websites. Ylilauta, known for its diverse content, underwent a significant business model transformation, following a series of controversial events.

In June 2024 Camoradar revealed that the site had been profiting millions through shady casino affiliate ads. As the site was under continuous legal pressure, Ylilauta removed the casino ads and eventually eliminated all advertisements altogether.

The presence of the ads had been the primary driver for users to purchase Gold subscriptions, a feature to remove the intrusive advertisements. This decision seemed to be a potential death knell for the site’s revenue. However, the imageboard quickly adapted its strategy, shifting its focus to an entirely different revenue stream: pornography.

The Gold subscription model now grants users access to hidden boards filled with explicit content. These boards feature unauthorized candid photos of women, leaked OnlyFans material, and pornographic content sourced from paid platforms.

With the site currently selling 150 to 200+ Gold subscriptions per day, they rake in between €1,500 to €2,000+ in daily sales. This translates to an annual revenue of approximately €720,000, with a steady upward trajectory. Considering this estimate was calculated using the lowest subscription fee, the actual annual revenue could soon surpass €1 million, driven almost solely by pornographic content.
