MAYDAY MAYDAY, Jewlauta Down - It Was a Good Run

"I follow orders to boost immediate revenues by any means necessary, I don't have enough authority in the company to oppose them" - This is the narrative Sopsy has hidden behind for the past few years. But is he as clean as he attempts to appear? We shall find out.

Last month Camoradar released a thorough report on the downfall of Ylilauta. This article shed light on the complex ownership structure, tax optimization schemes, lies & deception behind the company and its shareholders.

Camoradar revealed that the owners had recently fumbled a deal to sell the site to a Finnish millionaire with a multi-million euro valuation. The owners attempted to bluff their way to a higher payout by misrepresenting the health and value of the site and by stalling the negotiations. Unfortunately, calling them even a Wish version of Patrik Antonius would be a huge compliment towards them and therefore their "Jewish negotiation tactics for beginners" -move was seen miles away.

In a dramatic turn, one representative of the company has recently approached the original buyer sobbing and begging them to reconsider their offer, even agreeing to drop the valuation by more than 1 million euros in a desperate attempt to revive the deal.

The reason for this desperate move is that the site is under significant pressure from the Finnish authorities due to their illegal casino advertisements targeting the Finnish audience. The site denies these allegations, but it certainly doesn't help their case that gambling ads are mentioned as their principal activity in their annual accounts report.

Gambling ads mentioned in Lauta Media Ltd's annual accounts

In a desperate attempt to avoid the legal punishment, Sopsy has since eliminated the casino ads from their platform and replaced them with nicotine product ads, which are now listed as clients on Lauta Media website. However, this move might not be enough to secure financial stability, as the nicotine industry is less lucrative and faces potential legal restrictions that could outlaw such advertisements at any moment. In a bid to appear less targeted towards the Finnish audience, the company has translated multiple parts of their website into English.

Lauta Media removes online casinos as their clients

In the middle of this shitshow Sopsy made a public post yesterday claiming he had removed Google ads from the site due to their negative impact on site speed. This was a pathetic attempt to gain sympathy and credit from the site users, as Sopsy implied he took this action independently and at the potential cost of reduced revenue and backlash from other shareholders.

Sopsy claims Google ads were removed in order to speed up the site

However, this narrative quickly unraveled. A Finnish tech publication revealed that Google had, in fact, removed their ads from the site due to continuous hate speech and discriminatory content, exposing Sopsy's claims as a fabrication intended to garner support from the user base.

With the loss of both casino and Google ads, the company is facing significant financial difficulties due to the high operating costs associated with heavy site traffic. The recent shift to nicotine pouch ads is unlikely to fill the huge revenue gap meaning their only option is to continue ruining the site even more in hopes of selling more Gold accounts. Or, alternatively, cease all operations.

Thanks Ylilauta, it was a good run.
